HORSE RIDING FOR ACTORS: With Karl Ude Martinez Featured

HORSE RIDING FOR ACTORS:
 Horses
MONDAY 25th June – FRIDAY 29th June 2012

5 day Intensive Course with
Karl Ude Martinez
Horse riding has always been a key skill for an actor to possess and today with the renewed popularity of period dramas, series such as ‘Merlin’ and westerns on film and television, it is more important than ever. Being confident and competent on a horse will increase your casting potential - because it is not enough to just say you can ride, casting directors have introduced horse riding auditions and will expect you to prove it.

Skills4Actors has teamed up with one of the best horsemen in the country KARL UDE MARTINEZ (Actor, Presenter and Equine expert from Discovery Series “Horsetails”; Horse & Country TV; Sky Sports series “Polo Masters”; The Horse of the Year Show and The Equestrian) to present an intensive 5 day, residential course purely geared towards horse riding for actors.

The course will be held at the impressive Warwick International School of Riding, nestled in over sixty acres of open ground and woodland. Accommodation will be provided at the school, where you will learn how to be around and care for horses, spend most of the day in the saddle and acquire the skills needed for horse-riding actors! The facilities available are - an all weather sand ménage, jumping arena, cross-country course, and wide selection of horses, catering for all levels from complete beginners to the more experienced riders.

This is an excellent opportunity to improve your riding skills and knowledge of horses, amongst fellow actors, on a course specifically designed by an actor who knows exactly what is required of you on set. At the end of the course you will also be assessed and receive a certificate and have an opportunity to film footage of you riding for your showreel.
